Jin, myself, Ryan (from left to right) getting ready to hop on for a Wednesday morning ride around the island. First we needed some nourishment from Mr. McDonald. Can you believe they have one here??
Sam and I were 'dueling' a bit here. The idea with fighting kites is the cross the opponents string and cut it loose. Supposedly its a big club activity here in Jeju, although we haven't seen it yet. We don't have the fiber glass string, but its on order, then the real dueling begins.
Sam made this kite for me, its called the 'Ludo'. Small, but extremely dynamic, and does well in light winds. Since that day, i have flown it into the ocean, dried it out and it flew again!! But then when i was packing it up, it tore, bummer. But it had a great run, thanks again Sam.
A friend and co-worker, Sam, recently taught me how to make and fly kites. We set them to the sky one afternoon in a horse pasture. Check out the backdrop in these scenes!
the beached whale mantle, i think i finally got it
